ANGLEPOISE® GIANT COLLECTION
Anglepoise® is delighted to unveil at the Light+Build exhibition in Frankfurt a new, enhanced, and greatly extended Giant Collection.
When in 2005 the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre commissioned a triple scale version of the iconic 1930’s Anglepoise® desk lamp as a humorous reference to the beloved Anglepoise® lamp used by Dahl in his writing hut, (scaled up to befit the size of one of Dahl’s favourite characters, the BFG or Big Friendly Giant), no-one conceived where this would lead. Yet within a year, due to overwhelming demand, the Original 1227™ Giant floor lamp and pendant had become a staple of the Anglepoise® range.
The collection also includes the first Giant Outdoor Collection, a new Giant wall mounted lamp with versions for indoor and outdoor use and a new triple scale Giant interpretation of their best-selling Type 75™ desk lamp. All this in addition to the Original 1227™ Giant floor lamp and pendant, which now comes in a stunning new colour palette. What’s more all the lamps are all hand built and made in Britain.
