NORDGRÖNA Moss Pixel
Nordgröna
Just like it’s larger cousins Convex and Ceiling, Pixel is made from naturally grown, hand picked Scandinavian Reindeer moss which reduces noise very effectively.
Only 5 by 5 centimeters (roughly 2 inches) per unit, Pixel is extraordinarily inspiring to the creative, design oriented mind. Combine Pixels into large mesmerizing patterns, turn corridors into magical portals – or just tuck cool colours into nooks and crannies.
This naturally grown material stays fluffy by regulating its own humidity year-round and requires no maintenance at all – no watering, no trimming, no sunlight.
An innovative approach to sound absorption
A high reverberation time is the most common acoustic problem interior designers and architects face today. Modern architecture favours rectangular spaces, and hard and flat surfaces, which can cause excessive reverberation times and irritating echoes.
Natural Reindeer Moss has ideal properties for absorbing sound. The highly porous structure allows for an exceptional sound absorption ability across a wide frequency range. The material constitutes an alternative to synthetic options while simultaneously offering an industry leading performance.
The Pixel has a Sound Absorption Average (SAA) of 82% and Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 80%.
Installation
Pixels are delivered on adhesive pads of each 4×3 Pixels of the same colour.
To install the Pixels, prepare the wall surface with our included primer paint. Then peel off the protective film of the adhesive pads and firmly press each against the wall.
Optionally, the pads can be cut into individual Pixels, or rearranged with different colours!
