Hunting chair
Fredericia
Designer: Børge Mogensen. 1950
Designed in 1950, The Hunting Chair was Mogensen’s first work with exposed wooden framing and saddle leather. The design reflected a distinct modernism of the time, with the front seat edge height just 30 cm above the floor.
The seat is adjustable with solid brass buckles, and the chair is easy to move around to different locations in the home.
A rustic and masculine combination of materials, give a very special patina, similar to other Mogensen classics. Like the Spanish Chair, the Hunting Chair is a sculpture that only becomes more stunning with time.
