BHP Perth Level 4 – Outdoor area.
A recent installation at BHP Perth required a specific design brief to be adhered to, including the following key factors:
– Heavy-duty to withstand harsh weather
– A raw, industrial aesthetic
– Australian design, Australian made
– Materials to include timber and steel
– Employee wellbeing
The brief was met successfully with the proposal of outdoor furniture from the TAIT. TAIT is 100% Australian designed and manufactured with a strong focus on durability, particularly in withstanding the harshest of Australian climates. The pieces chosen featured Marine grade stainless steel and sustainable Australian Spotted Gum timber. Spotted gum is a particularly effective timber to be used outdoors due to its stability. The heavy weight of the pieces were also of benefit in this application due to the strong winds that sometimes affect the space. Greenery was used effectively divide the space and improve employee wellbeing.
