Studio Umut Yamac is a design studio characterised by a multidisciplinary approach; exploring the middle ground between architecture and light.
Umut graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture in 2009 and established his design studio in 2011 to focus on creating objects, lighting and installations that are responsive to both the user and the space through playful interaction and movement.
Often taking inspiration from nature, conceptual ideas are tested through a hands-on process of making and exploration, where the workshop plays a central role in the development and realization of each project.
Alongside his studio work, Umut also teaches and runs workshops at Central St Martins.
