Hemingway Cafe
Hospitality
Nestled within the Central Park Lobby, Hemingway Café features a minimalist design by Woods Bagot that enhances the space’s lightness and elegance.
Jimmy’s house balances big ideas and practical needs with its goals for community friendliness, energy efficiency, and supporting local wildlife. The house’s courtyard, fringed by two L-shaped wings, enjoys optimal sun exposure and showcases three tiers of garden and terrace.
“The design of my home is all about the outdoors, with a variety of garden rooms and terraces so you always have an ideal spot to be, no matter the time of day or year,” says Jimmy. “But this also means dealing with a variety of conditions and exposure to sun and wind. I love that Tait really considers our climate and uses robust finishes that improve with age, no matter the location.”
“We selected two Volley chairs for the Winter Terrace in beautiful blue fabric for Angie and me. However, our two cats, Twigs and Wylie, have claimed them for themselves and won’t let us sit in them. Cats truly are the best judges of furniture.”
“The more you use Tait furniture, the more you realise just how well considered their design process must be.”
Inspired by Australia’s sport-loving lifestyle, the Volley Chair features clean lines, netted mesh, and smooth curves. Designed by Adam Goodrum, this modern outdoor dining chair is perfectly suited for home, hospitality, or commercial settings.
