MANEL MOLINA I PONSI
Barcelona 1963
He studied interior design at the EINA School of Art and Design (Barcelona).
In 1985 and until 1989 he worked as an industrial designer at the ESTUDI MIGUEL MILÀ.
He also collaborates regularly as a design designer in the company FCO. LLORENS dedicated to the execution of architecture and interior design projects. During this period he also carried out self-employed window dressing and rehabilitation work, as well as stands and ephemeral assemblies.
In 1991, in partnership with Alberto Lievore and Jeannette Altherr, he founded the studio LIEVORE ALTHERR MOLINA. Since the beginning, the studio has developed industrial design, consultancy and artistic direction work for various companies around the world, offering customized solutions. Standing out for the design of furniture, interior design projects, product and packaging.
At the same time, he has also carried out an intense teaching activity, teaching seminars and
courses for new professionals in several Spanish universities. During these years the studio has been awarded with different national and international awards. In addition, he has exhibited his work in Barcelona, Cologne, Chicago,
Stockholm, Helsinki, Lisbon, London, Louisiana, Madrid, Malmö, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo. His projects and ideas have been published regularly and worldwide in the most prestigious journals.
With the creation of the MANEL MOLINA STUDIO in 2016, a new professional stage
began. In the company of his collaborators Raimon Monsarro, Daniel Castro and with the incorporation of Blanca Roigé, the current team dedicated to developing furniture, product and communication projects is formed.
