Hertel & Klarhoefer

Hertel & Klarhöfer is a Berlin-based design studio founded in 1999 by childhood friends and architecture graduates Peter Christian Hertel and Sebastian Klarhöfer. Their work is deeply inspired by the vibrant, metropolitan energy of Berlin as well as experiences gained from travel and encountering new environments. Central to their design process is a strong focus on materiality, with early development often involving full-scale prototypes to explore form and function. Supported by a skilled team of product designers, carpenters, and model builders, Hertel & Klarhöfer create innovative furniture and accessories for international brands such as Bolia. Their designs balance conceptual thinking with hands-on craftsmanship, reflecting both the creative spirit of their city and a commitment to quality and detail.
