Nancy Ji is an architect and designer with a philosophy to create works which are functional, simple and with an element of playfulness. Ji has worked across a broad spectrum of design, with varying scales and media, from objects to environments which enhance our everyday life.
Nancy Ji was educated in New Zealand, USA and the Netherlands, before completing a Master’s of Architecture at the University of Melbourne. Following this, Ji has gained diverse experience working for renowned architectural practices across Japan and Australia. In 2016 Nancy was the recipient of the Mercedes Benz Design Award, which saw her winning piece, the Lily tray table be produced by Tait. Ji has also been a finalist at Vivid Sydney, and received the Emerging Designer Award at the 2017 Melbourne Fringe Furniture festival.
